WELCOME
In March 2005, over 4,500 graduate and undergraduate students participated
in one of the largest Simon Fraser Student Society election in our history.
Over 75% of students voted in favour of a graduate health and dental plan. Thanks
to the successful campaign by graduate students, the Simon Fraser Student Society
Graduate Benefits Plan was introduced September 1, 2005.
A subsequent referendum was held in early 2008 by the GSS reapproving the benefit plan.
Graduate Students are automatically enrolled each semester
provided they meet the enrolment criteria which is:
- You are a member of the Student Society (paying fees)
- You are a graduate student (in a grad career)
- You are taking at least one course at SFU, and
- You have basic medical insurance (click here for more info)
If you meet the above eligibility requirements, the fees for your single coverage
are automatically assessed and included with your tuition.
